How to install aftermarket shift knob?

Interested in this, similar to Type R knob:

But it doesn't have the clips at the bottom of the factory shift knob. How do you get the factory shift boot on there?

I had/have that knob now. It doesnt connect. I just let it hang. Reason is i pulled leather up on it but couldnt put fingers under ball. Just use a nut to set it. You will have to pull consol off to detach from stock knob.
