I did a search but was unable to find anything on how to properly adjust the comptech supercharger belt. At one time Comptech may have had a pdf on this subject but it seems to be no longer available. Anyone out there have some pictures and steps that you should take. There is the adjustment screw but the whole system seems to be locked together. There are two screws that place pressure via two springs that push the pully down making it tighter. There are also two set screws that seem to lock the adjustment once you get it. I need the sequence of steps.
Thanks,
Manny

Behind the ct tensioner block are 2 Allen screws, loosen those first, then ou can loosen or tighten the long tensioner bolt with a 10 or 11mm socket..

Btw I have Titaniumdave's tru-tension block. Your ct block will look different. But the screws are the same, same location..

OK, When I first tried to loosen the belt so that I could lift the supercharger and get to the front injectors I tried the adjusting bolt. But of course nothing happened. I then loosened the two screws on top that hold down some springs. Still the belt would not loosen. It was when I finally loosened the two screws you mentioned. I was not sure when I put everything back together that I did the right sequence. So now I know the sequence. I am not sure why they even included those springs unless they wanted the system to flex at times. I am also not sure as to how you measure if you have the belt on tight enough. Is there a simple rule to follow? I really appreciate your pictures and input.

In the pic above you have a nice view of the belt. The rear side of the pulley, closest to you in the pic, is the long segment. The belt should be pretty snug, so I set the tension so that if you grab the belt mid way down from the pulley(again long segment), as shown in the pic, you want to twist the belt 90 degrees and it should be very hard to get it to 90 degrees.

Typically when I do an install I install a boost gauge. Best way to know if the belt is tight;).

Thanks again for your help. I will take a go at it today when my injectors come back from being cleaned and tested.

^ I never thought of that. Make sense and you'd KNOW for sure the belt is tensioned correctly.
