I'm looking at '92 which falls into the snap ring range but was never fixed. Does anyone know what this costs to fix? Anyone know of a good tech in Atlanta?
The parts typically cost around $700 or so, the labor takes 8-12 hours.
That being said, I wouldn't bother doing this unless the snap ring failed, or you needed other transmission work (clutch replacement, gearing changes) at the same time.
sometimes acura service district reps will fix the problem if its defective free of charge under whats called "goodwill money"; its rare but it happens
