Quick question- I know the average car (BMW M3/Audi S4 for example) will cost about $300.00-400.00 to get a coil over kit installed on them.

I called the person who I was going to have put them on for me (a good friend of NSXPrime) and he quoted me almost twice that amount! Am I missing something special about doing suspension on our cars or is he really trying to overcharge me? What have others on the board been paying? I am in Indiana but am willing to travel (ohio, indy, chicago, etc) if anyone knows a good person to do the job. Please advise what others are paying so I know where the average falls.

Ps- it's an HKS Hyper Damper Coil Over kit.

Thanks
Aaron

For a relatively uncommon and not straightforward aftermarket performance modification like this, there's one place I would go, above all others - Acura of Brookfield (Milwaukee). Call John Vasos, the service manager there, to discuss - 800-383-3936.

It really depends on what the installer is doing. If the installer is just installing the coilover system, with no adjusting/corner balancing, it is actually easier than installing lowering springs since the coilover system plugs right in and does not need to have the old springs swapped out.

If it the case that they are installing only, then it should be in the ballpark for the cost of labor to install lowering springs in your area.
