spartan2-3 Joined 23 August 2001 Messages 1,464 Location California 22 February 2008 #2 I have both the NA2-R wheels and 05 OEM wheels. I weighed them (with identical tires and thread wear). The type-r's were definitely lighter- If I remember correctly they were about ~2lbs lighter.

Here are some weights (in lbs.), according to Dali Racing and ProCar Specials: 2002-2005 stock 17/17 F: 17.35 R: 20.0 total: 74.7 NA2 NSX-R F: 15.75 R: 17.55 total: 66.6 savings: 8.1 lbs. If you're interested in NSX-R tire weights, see the ProCar post.
