Hi people,

Just picked up my 91 NSX and was wondering how many NSX owners from Prime are from Australia?

Would be nice to keep in touch with fellow NSX owners down under, and maybe organise regular meet ups etc.

I am located in Perth, Western Australia.

I think I may know of an NSX owner in Australia...

x15, luckily you picked an NSX with such low km's... Your going to put a few on yours if you want to join in our regular meet-ups.

Perth is a lovely city! The only problem is it's 5000km away in another timezone!

Having said that... I would fly over to Perth and come with you if your going to do a Nullabor run!

Hmmm.... Dippy was talking about a Nullabor run a while ago. He reckons he could do it overnight... abiding by the speed limit of course ;) :D

Very good, young grasshopper. You demonstrate that you have learned the ways of the wise ones.

Hehehehehe

I had always thought that Neo was the Nazi.

Having said that... I would fly over to Perth and come with you if your going to do a Nullabor run!

WHAT and you weren't going to invite me???? Nah i have a better cruise how about our Great Ocean Road NSXpo.

Anyway welcome aboard and hopefully get to meet up soon. LOVE YOUR CAR. just cant figure out why just yet. Did it come exactly like that or did you mod it straight away?

Neo and Nazi are two VERY distant words in my world. The Nazi's did some seriously bad things... even my 4 bikini babes thread doesn't compare to their badness. :( Errr... not to suggest that the Forums Nazi does bad things! :D

Thanks Forums Nazi for the reputation point! I'll keep up the hard work (lol, though those searches were easy :D )

Dippy : Nullabor & GOR cruises have different pro's and cons. GOR has twisties, beautiful scenary, low speed-limits ;) but there's COPS, and a Nullabor cruise would be one long straight line drag, no scenary and NO SPEED LIMITS OR COPS! It would be 110km/h all the way. :D

Hi X15
Welcome to the forums and NSX ownership.
All you guys should stop messing about with where to go, Nullabor or Great Ocean Road.
X15 take the Nullabor to Adelaide.
All the others in Melbourne, take the Great Ocean Road, also to Adelaide.
SIKNSX and a few others as well as myself would be pleased to see you here.

Regards Steve

You forgot the Sydney boyz! :D

So how about you Adelaide guys/gal come here, the Sydney boyz will drive down, and come join us in Melbourne.... there's more NSX's here. ;) :D :D :D

Speaking of SIKNSX, did you see it's on the cover of "2DMAX" magazine??? I bought it... haven't got around to scanning/posting it yet. Nice four page spread too. Well done John & Shana.

Welcome aboard mate!
Hope this site offers as much info and company as it has done for me.

OZ NSXPO!! ??!?!?!

Unfortunately I wont be doing as many long drives as I use to due to the state of the car.

Please dont ask him that.

Enter at own risk. When asked, he shall tell you but then the bug will slowly consume you as well AU. Nico is the worst he spreads the mod bug to every one he meets. Doesnt even care about medicine.

Lol...

I have done ehaustive research on this myself Dippy...

My thesis is due out early next year however I can give you an executive summary of my findings now as you have shown the early stages of addiction....

Basically, there is no medicine/antidote for the modifier... Once exposed to a modified vehicle, the modifier will "want" to say modify "just a set of wheels"... Well let me tell you that at that point it may be possible to keep this very dangerous condition at bay. However if the wheels are actually bought that is it I'm afraid... NO CURE!

Running out of money may slow the number of "fixes" but you will still have the cravings...

A new girlfriend will only be a short term distraction as well...

Sorry Dippy... It's too late for you.... me... Nico...

There is a support group for people like us though, they are called autosalon events....

hehehehehehe

Support group  , they only seem to compound the problems. The only way i would join that group is if I'm dead, they give prizes for the biggest addiction.

Damn you Nico, my wife hates you so much that she wants me to sell both cars to buy a BMW convertible as our "family car". But if i do i'm allowed to get the MV Agusta..
Decision decisions.

Well she has a bug as well so maybe i have to keep feeding her LV, Gucci and Prada addiction.

DAMN you NICO!!!! I regret ever meeting you, and you AU NSX i haven't even started on you yet. A spare NSX that is TWIN TURBO just for the track

I'm here too... but spent most of my time abroad in Asia due to work commitments..
Merry Christmas to every X in Australia! I hope you have a safe and ticket-free time this Eve!v

Where are all the for sale NSX in Sydney?

I am thinking of gettting either a NSX (grey import NSX-R would be nice) or a Lotus Elise or doing a grey import on a Noble M12 from the UK if the Aussie dollar is still strong (love to get the new Noble M14 but $$$$).
http://www.noblecars.com

I have just sold my Silver Nissan GTR R33 (mild mods exhaust, water injection, re-chipped, larger intercooler, extra boost and lowered with 18" wheels) and I am looking to get a NSX but cannot find any in Sydney.

I am sick of people stealing my GTR badge (4 so far) and other people in WRX and EVOs wanting to race me at ever traffic lights (wankers - do it on the track you dick). If I ignore them, 80% of the time they give me the birdie or throw things at my car.

Glad I sold as the Nissan GTR was getting too common on the streets of Sydney (too many wannabe in GTS-T with cheap GTR looking body kits).

Firstly, it would be impossible to import a type R and register it. I know of someone who has one that just drives around his land in Ballarat.

NSX are going pretty cheap now, i have heard of low fifties even $45 but for an auto. Maybe you should PM NSXBOX he always seem to have an Australian database of what NSX is selling. People tend to sell more NSXes in Melbourne however as our roads are better for driving and as Sydney owners are all showboaters who leave their car parked in garage.

About getting drag invites happens all the time but they seem more respectful to us.

Mmmm! rally NSX..

Just out of curiosity, do you think we'll be allowed (assuming the 15 year rule stays in place) to import the original NSX-R as of 2007? I believe it first came out in Japan in '92.

ps. Just introducing myself, this is my first post. I am in Sydney and my wife and I have fallen in love with the NSX, we have started to look out for one tentatively. I know they may be able to be imported from japan at the end of this year, but I might buy a local car if the price is right.

Hope to join the owners club some day soon!
