I am just curious. How many people here are on their second, third etc.. NSX?

If you are past number one, why did you get the NSX again? Did you look at other options?

I am thinking once I get the first one out of the way, I will probably pick up a 97 in 3 years or so.

I guess that would be me. Why I got another? C'mon Dave, is there any other car for the price that is this awesome? NO! Not even close. There is no other car in existence that has such perfect balance between luxury and exotic. All other exotics are way too much work to drive and maintain and all other luxury cars are so boring to drive and much too common. Besides, nothing is more beautiful and I love to drive something rare. I hate to see the same car coming the other way all the time. By they way, I did NOT look at other options this time. I looked at ALL options the first time around..... Porsche, Ferrari, Lotus, Viper and Maserati were choices once; they are not anymore. I will buy a Ferrari but only in addition to an NSX. Never instead of. Here's a link to some pics of both my NSXs.

Hmm... I guess this doesn't count but I might as well throw in my 2 cents.

My dad has got his NSX since it first came out and I've been driving it wheneverI get a chance after I got my license. Twelve years later, my love towards the NSX only got stronger and I eventually got my own.

I've owned two NSXs.

My first was a 1991 Black Automatic with about 40K miles, and although the auto was fine, I just wanted a manual tranny.

I came across a pristine red/black 1992 so the decision was easy.

PS: Black cars are so very hard to keep clean and although my Zaino treatments helped a great deal, it was still a pain to wash it and take the car somewhere only to have it covered with dust, pollen.

having it taken away like that hurt and i vowed to replace it ASAP. it took a couple of years but i got my '98 in december.

i can't say for sure but i suspect i'll always have one or be close to getting another...

I'm on my third and a half. I bought a 97 T and enjoyed it...but I was always paranoid about parking it anywhere. When the new 996 came out, I traded in the NSX. I never worried about parking the 996 even though it cost more than the NSX. After seeing one too many Boxsters and 996s on the road, I got a used 98 T. Again, never wanted to park it anywhere. Here's where it gets a little weird. Sold the 98 to a dealer and bought a new 996; a few months later...bought the exact same NSX back from the individual who purchased it from the dealer. So I bought the same NSX twice. Anyway, sold it again and got another new 996. Again, too many on the road so I sold the 996 and got an 01 T. As you can see, I have a love/hate relationship with the NSX and I still have it. But if anyone wants to buy it, let me know as I have been thinking about getting a Turbo.

Funny I took the same road as the above post....I had a 94 15K miles Brooklands Green NSX, wanted the Supercharger but couldn't afford it, wait, I meant I WOULDN'T pay 10K for one! Sold the NSX and bought a '99 996 Silver Cab. Front end was WAY to light at speeds above 100MPH, and the ass was way to heavy for real cornering. Plus, here in Scottsdale everyone and their mother drives a Porsche, and I hated having the same front end as a Boxster. Eventually sold the 996 and found the NSX of my dreams, 94 Formula red NSX with 15K miles, Comptech SC already installed at 12K miles, fresh tires, etc, etc. I will never look back towards the Porsche. Not only does the NSX feel like your sitting on your couch at 130MPH, you never see them around here! AND...it's fun to smack around the dime a dozen hot sh*t vette owners around here here too, they don't know I have the SC!

Regards,
Justin

My story is a strange one as well. I bought an 00 T, blue. I loved it, but what I really wanted all along was a new coupe with a black roof -- a car that in my opinion was true to the original design concept. (Chassis rigidity was my primary goal, and I wanted the 3.2 as well) Anyway, after I had owned the blue T for about a year, I heard about an 01 Coupe that had languished on the showroom floor for many months in Redwood City, California. I drove up from Aizona on a weekend to look at it, and that was all she wrote. I traded the 00 T at a huge loss, but luckily got an incredible incentive + price break on the Coupe. Six months later, I couldn't be happier. I will never sell this one.

I am at my second one: '91 red/black totaled at 40k miles was changed on a '91 silver with 50k miles. Next one?

Either a Diablo

or a 3.2 NSX-T...

I'm on my second nsx! My first one was stolen it was a 1993 coupe in perfect conditon. I was sick about it so i replaced it with a 95 t. Then the pain went away.

I'm on my second. Bought a '91 Black/Ivory in '97 and sold it last year and immediately replaced it with a '00 Monaco Blue/Tan. This is the only sports car I've ever owned that I didn't tire of after a year or two.

My '94 -0472 was stolen two years ago and I was faced with "What to drive with a new NSX coming in four years, and a facelift in two." I didn't like the looks of the Prelude restyle, so I had a feeling I would be luke warm on the NSX's '02 restyle.

Buy new or used? I saved $18K on my first NSX by buying a new leftover coupe over a T-model, so I was looking for another leftover. I found the Zanardi prototype.

Since Porsche re-did the 911, I find the NSX to be the now "classic" sports car. Simple, functional,... no bells, no whistles.

With all the different aftermarket stuff available for the NSX, I started a mod-a-week program. Dig up something from the closet or garage, sell on ebay, and spend on car. As long as the money is going into the NSX, I seem to be able to justify getting rid of a lot of stuff I would have normally hung onto.

On my 3rd... First 2 were NSX-T that I got good deals on but was never satisfied with the chassis flex. Finally, got a '00 Coupe...

Had a '94 since new until I sold it in Sept of '00. Bought a '00 NSX-T in Feb. of '01. The quality of the '00 doesn't seem to be up to par with my '94. The car creaks over bumps and the gaps between body panels are not even. Haven't had any problems mechanically. I've got to admit, the 3.2 engine with the 6-spd feels significantly quicker than the '94. When I drove the '94 I always wished it had more power but with the '00 I don't wish for more power as much, but more horsepower couldn't hurt either.

I'm on my second. I bought a '96 NSX-T black and tan in '99 then a year later I saw my first Monte Carlo blue and fell in love with the color. In Jan 2002 I bought a '97 Monte Carlo blue /Tan and haven't looked back.
