How I impressed my guest last night!

Back from work about 8 last night I notice that my front right signal light was not working. I parked my car in the garage and I saw about 7-8 guests in the house. I strip off my working shirt and bring along a small bottle of 7up. Took out my toolbox from the cupboard and start working on the car. The guests gather up around me as I work on the light. You got to see the look from their faces. For the simple thing that I was doing they were in awe. Why? Normally for the people who own an exotic and very expensive car like NSX other people always thought that the car must always be brought to a special mechanic to be fixed. They were very impressed to see the owner to fix his own car and exotic one again. Although the work that I did was simple, I feel very proud because not only do I own an exotic car but I try what I can to take care of it. I am sure a lot of the people in this forum do that. Give yourself a pat at the back.:D

not bad...

i noticed that you are from brunei.. im not sure how things go over there but here in US, most people are mechanically inclined. and we got plenty of DIY technician...

keep impressin those people. i bet you they'll think that you are an expert mechanic if they see change your oil and air filter. they might even start goin to you for their regular maintenance..
:D :D :D

way to start a business..

Thanks for the compliment. Here in Brunei we often send our car to mechanics even with the smallest problem. They are afraid to make mistake. just think how may Ferrari owners are willing to fix their car. NSX is also an exotic and finding an owner that can work on their car should be respected (we are fixing a supercar you know;) )

Urrhh, actually, in US, a lot of people "think" they are mechanically inclined and have too much time in the weekend so they DIY...
Well, thinks to Prime, so we are a little more Educated than those.
:D

Jin,
I would say, keep working on your NSX. I always found it very satisfying to do something myself.
However, I always got the impression from my neighbours that they seem to think the NSX is something like a big CRX or something like a family sedan with a big body kit. After all, if it would be a REAL sportscar I wouldn't be working on it myself...

Good job....it is kind of amazing when people see you working on your own car when it is a pretty high end one, they think you are either nuts or a genius. Good job!! :)

Are there very many NSX's in Brunei?? I thought I remembered seeing some for sale there a while ago with REALLY low miles. They were either 1991 or 1992 models with only like 200 miles on them after over a decade of time. Do people not drive them there? How many miles you have?

There are about 20-30 NSX in Brunei. On the road I can safely say 10-15. Mine have bout 50K miles on it. Did complete timing service at 46K miles. Now my compressor starts making funny noises. Well it is a 94 car so it bound to have some problem.:D

End of November I will have the widest NSX in Brunei with the biggest set of wheels.:D

How many of those guests were single, attractive females? :D

Well to be honest all of them are my mom's guests. They do bring their kids along and I believe one of them are about my age and could be single. I do work out in the gym so that part of taking the shirt off was just about showing off. But to see a guy working on a supercar thats what took their attention.:D
