I mean the B-pillar panel

Okay, I am not quite home yet but I want to get started ASAP once I do get home. So as I understand it from the shop manual:

1) I pop the rear int. pillar panels (held together by 3 clips and a single screw)

then

2) Remove the mounting nuts from the body panel and just pull the b-pillar out by hand.

Is this pretty much it? Any tips and/or tricks before I start? Thanks in advance everybody.

It is straight forward. My only tip would be to put a towel against the actual B pillar and use a very long flat-bladed screwdriver pressed against the towel as a lever to pop the clips out. Less chance of damaging the trim panel than just yanking on it.

I agree with Lud - also since you won't listen

It is always a good idea to have a bunch of extra fasteners on hand. Seriously - no matter how hard you try you will break one or two and if you put it all back and blow it off - it WILL rattle and drive you crazy to the point that you wont pay attention and hit a gaurd rail at 75 MPH screeming - OH MY GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE... (excuse me I had tripple my allotment of Starbucks today)

I went to the dealer and picked these .05 cent parts up to the tune of $3.50 each. Dough! Good news is they are universal Honda fasteners if you have another Honda you can use them for either.

Why do you call them ".05 cent parts"? Have you seen them elsewhere for that price? Have you calculated their manufacturing cost and added suitable markup for overhead, shipping, dealer profit, etc? Or are you just upset about having to pay such a huge sum as $3.50 for a part?

Do I need to remove the seats to do this or do I just have the dumbest hands in the world, because for the life of me, I cannot pry the panel off given the amount of space behind the seat. Maybe its time for me to go on the Slimfast diet so I can squeeze in behind the seats...argh...

Sorry to nitpick the math, but a .05 cent part means you can get 20 of them for a penny! (I think matteni meant $0.05)

Good question re: the seats. I have only removed those trim panels when I already had both seats removed, so I do not know the answer to your question.

Removing the seats is pretty quick and easy though, and at the very least would probably make it much easier to work back there.
