I not certain how many have seen this, but it was an artical in AUtomobile, July 2004 (page 15).
"...First the CRX disappeared and then the Prelude. There might not be another S2000, and now the NSX has effectively een read its last rites."
This is both sad and a blessing. The current NSX will maintain it's value. The Next NSX was not going to be near the power of the new VIper, zo6,360s, etc.
Still, I hoping...

It's unfortunate that in a market as sophisticated as the US is, it's still horsepower and only horsepower that sells. It's also unfortunate that the US market often determines whether a car actually goes into production or not. There are a lot of cars out there that are an absolute joy to drive, but which don't produce big numbers horsepower or torque-wise. But they'll never see the light of day in the US, and Americans are by and large the poorer for it.

Still, there's no proof that Honda really intends to cease development of the next-generation NSX. And as a general rule of thumb, American car magazines are anything but authoritative, and that includes the much-vaunted Road & Track.

(P.S. There are already a few threads on Prime that discuss this very topic. Would suggest you take a gander beforehand in the future, lest you feel the wrath of the Forums Nazi.)
