I was wondering if anyone has put an s2k steering wheel into an NSX? IMO my oem nsx wheel looks very outdated.I wanna get a smaller, more modern wheel without resorting to an aftermarket wheel & hub combo.Does anyone know if it will bolt up? Im not familiar with steering wheel compatibility.

Any info is appreciated.Thanks.

Do it!! I've been reading all these links about the S2K wheel swap and all NO's are based on opinions.

Do what you think looks best. You could try some photoshop to see what it'll look like before hand.

its got a different size and spline count. you'll need a custom hub to fit it. its easily possible if you're willing to dish out the time and money.
i considered doing this with a ap1 wheel a while back but opted to go with a CTR instead.
im searching for a the 08+ CIVIC Type-R steering wheel, but theyre hard as hell to find right now and really expensive being still sorta new.
theres a few USDM civic SI wheels, but the Euro and JDM CTR wheels got more on board functions

Why don't you install a JDM Type S wheel ? I have one in my car and I love it.

what function does the jdm has and not usdm civic??
if you want leather wheel, you just need to buy a Si or exl, one side is cruize, the other is radio control. what else do you want? function wise? if you want the navi/talk buttons, get the wheel from those navi equipped car.

but then why do you need those function buttons in nsx??

I wish this could be done. I've also researched this topic a lot but it's a dead end. It would be nice to have the extra finger room inside the bottom half of the steering wheel for us non-pwr steering guys.

I'd only consider this if the S2k's airbag would still be functional. I'd pay $$ to buy a proper interface kit for this mod.

I'm sure it's possible. The thing is, you will probably need to modify (drill holes) to match up to an aftermarket hub. Which then adds to the possibilities for a quick release. You may be able to use cruise control and horn, but airbag is unlikely. But anything is possible with various adapters and imagination

I speak from direct experience. I have an S2000 wheel in my Accord and I have compared the splines to the NSX wheel and they are not compatible. I should have taken photos.

Maybe if you know a good welder who is up to the task of cutting the wheel spline / hub assembly off both and rewelding the NSX peice on an S2k wheel. Then you will have to figure out if the S2k airbag is compatible with your SRS and whether it will even fire or throw an SRS light when connected...
