Is the S2000 MTF the same as the NSX MTF?

I order Honda accessories from H-and-A accessories and they don't list any NSX items but they have all other Hondas and current Acuras. I need to order some items for my Ridgeline and want to order some MTF if it is the same item. The Acura dealer here is far enough away I don't want to drive there just to by MTF (if I can help it).

There is only one Honda MTF, it is not model specific.

A revised version of the MTF (White cap on the bottle) is now available, and it works really well.

I just helped a friend replace his clutch and when we filled his transmission we used the Acura MTF. From the local Acura dealer it was like $4.65 a Quart. His transmission shifted so smooth that I drained my GM Syncromesh fluid and replaced it with Honda MTF(Acura parts department was closed on saturday) Honda charged me like $5.45 a Quart.

I think that the Honda MTF is smoother than the GM Syncromesh and it is about $2.00 a Quart cheeper too.

I ordered my Honda MTF and bought a fluid transfer pump at Pep Boys for $4.99. Plan to do this the following weekend. Looking forward to a bit smoother 1-2 shift. The car needs the change anyways at 29K miles.

I just this change my transmission oil a couple weeks ago. Read post #5.

Removing the rear wheel (driver side) to do your transmission oil change may be easier. You can see exactly when the oil flows out from the fill hole. Make sure you car is level when filling. Furthermore, I did it without ever opening the bonnet.

k...ima try the new honda MTF...as a matter of fact, i recently replaced my tranny fluid with redline, it felt the same when i first picked up the car(notchy 1st,2nd, and crunches on 3rd , 4th always have been smooth, little notchy on 5th, 6th smooth). Hopefully the honda MTF will help fix some of the notchiness and crunchiness feelings...

I will post the result once i get it changed.

Or you can use a small funnel and about 3 feet of 5/8" outside diameter clear plastic tube from Home Depot or Lowes for about $1. Run the tube from the top down and put the MTF in the sun to really warm it up and it takes about 2 minutes to get the 3 quarts in. Six of one, half dozen of the other.
