Beginning with the International auto fair (IAA) in Frankfurt (Germany) on 9/11 (what a date!) Honda presents the Integrated Motor Assist for the first time in a regular series model. IMA should be a very economic fuel engine combined with an electric engine (reminds me of the hybrid car "Insight" they already have).

Fuel consumption will be less than 5 litres on 100 kilometres and the engine will have very low emissions (better than Euro IV norm). This info is from a Honda ad in a german mag.

This seems not to be NSX-related - although the "Dual Note" prototype idea would be a technical milestone for a sportscar.

Huh? An IMA hybrid Civic has been available for a year. Surely that's a regular series model?
