Doing a coolant flush on my 91 as preventative maintenance. Mechanic says the original green stuff would be safer but Honda dealer doesn't carry it anymore; didn't check with Acura yet. What's the consensus on this?

I flushed coolant on my Honda VFR800 last year and found the Honda green coolant at the motorcycle dealership but I'm not sure this would be suitable for the NSX? Thoughts?

Use the blue coolant. It is pre-mixed with water that does not have any impurities.

Just use Honda/Acura Type 2 – Blue coolant.

Depending on the country, the parts no. would be different but the name 'Type 2' coolant is the same.

It's 50/50 pre-mixed and good for 5 years maintenance interval but with NSX, you can't drain all of the old coolant from the eng block or some of the coolant pipes so I normally recommend replacing it bit earlier, like every 4 years as I saw some of the WP impeller covered in small amount of rust.

Since it's 50/50 mixture, not the best from the cooling efficiency point of view.
Therefore, if you are 100% sure that you are not going to park or drive the car at freezing cold area even while you are travelling or if you are happy to replace it before the winter arrives, you can go down to 30% mixture and replace it every 2 years or every autumn.
That's what the owners in Japan do especially those who take their NSX on track even in the hot summer.
If you don't track your NSX, just leave it as 50/50 mixture.
