Honda/Acura meet in Orlando, FL. 3/11/06 (Noon)!!!!!!

Sorry for the late notice......This started out as a RSX meet, and since has turned into a pretty big meet. Apparently there are at least 7 forums involved with this event. Going to be all kinds of hondas and acuras out there. Ill be there! From what I understand one plan has been to meet at The Avenues at Viera (the new outdoor mall)(melbourne/Viera area) at 10:00AM. From there, we will be caravaning up to meet with Steve (S2000) and the other S guys in Orlando, then ride out to Blanchard as a group. That's all I know for sure at this time. Some X owners expressed interest in going so here's the info:

Hey Brian and clr1024,

As I see, you all had a chance to look at this thread about saturday. I don't yet know where in Orlando our caravan from Melbourne is meeting the S2000 group in orlando. But what I'm going to do is give Steve (S2000), who lives in Orlando, a call a little later today. I'll find out exactly where in Orlando they will be joining up with us. I will try to post that info here later tonight to let you know exactly where the S2000 and our group are meeting at before going to that park. clr1024, sorry I couldn't post a link from the galleries thread page I made to here fast enough, but I'm glad you found this!:biggrin:

clr1024 - I might come as Blanchard is close to my house. Noon though...hmm wonder if that curtails going out tonight

I'm not sure exactly what time things will be wrapping up there. I would say by 4PM as a guess but I know they won't stay past 6PM too dark...if that helps any!:rolleyes:

FeetFxr - Is the group staying at Blanchard Park from Noon til ? I get off work around 12:30ish and can stop by on my way home. I live about 5 minutes away.

Yeah, drop on by T.! We'd love to have another X representin' (especially yours).:eek: There's always a few people droppin' in late to these kinds of things anyway! It probably won't be into the full swing of things till 1PM anyhow.:wink:

I'm still definately in. I've been partying it up all week up here in Daytona Beach (bike week = amazing), but I'm ready to roll out to Orlando and have some more fun! Jason I guess just call me and let me know what's going and if I don't talk to you I guess I'll just meet up with all you guys in Orlando.

PS - If anyone from the Daytona Beach area wants to meet up and drive down, let me know

Only downside of Blanchard Park is it has speed bumps and as you can imagine my car doesn't like them much. I'll still try to come by. If you find out which end the cars will be near, YMCA or Dean Rd., let me know please. If they're speed humps I'm O.K.

I have been watching this get together develop from the beginning on another message board I frequent.
Funny little thing, I asked if they minded if an NSX were to come instead of another one of my cars and was told no.
I have since bowed out.
Looks like all that are going should have a good time though.

:confused:really? I wonder why they would say such a thing....Without the NSX there is no Honda/Acura meet....I know of at least one other nsx owner that is affiliated with a major car club in Orlando and he will be there. I don't think there's really much to worry about!:rolleyes:

Ya know T., I'm really not sure about the speed bump thing. I wasn't aware that there were even speed bumps there.:eek: Nobodies mentioned which side of the park it will be on to me and unfortunately I've never been there before. Sorry I can't say for sure.
 
Well I was going to go but since its not really clear if I am welcome with my NSX I may bow out as well. Since its just me and I don't know anyone else going to the meet I would hate to show up alone and unwelcome:frown:
 
Great event and there were 4 NSX's that represented well! We were VERY welcome!! Very nice hosts and a good time!!!

When word got around that someone had asked me not to bring an NSX that person came back on and apologized and said he didn't realize that anybody would take him serious.
I'm like this. If I know you then I will cut up and joke around. BUT, if I have only been on a site for a little while and someone says something like that then I'm going to take them serious and not show up. Simple as that.
Irregardless, I couldn't make it so I'm glad some NSX's did show up.

well its too bad it went down like that cause I would of come . but in any case I am glad you went maybe next time will go when I know I am welcome.


After re-reading, I see you dind't go, but at least there were a few NSXs that went and had a good time. I guess next time I will know better.

Yeah...

You guys really missed out! Over 150 cars showed!:eek: Sometimes you just have to take a chance on these things...usually it's a success.:cool: The four of our NSX's were so well received, that when we got to the park (as jam packed as it was with H's & A's) they dropped what they were doing and waved us on to park in the very front! Too bad you guys couldn't have made it. Maybe next time....

is this the SUV version of the NSX HAHA car looks really hott man just have to give you a hard time, by the way who's HFP accord is that way in the distance that Sh#t is hott like lava is that V6 with the six speed shapire bule?:biggrin:

Who had the newer Black X, and the other Black X? Are they from Orlando? Or if the owner post on this forum Hope you get to stop by when you get a chance :biggrin: That definitely looked like a great turnout. Nice pics. Now that I think about it. I guess one of the X's is Warren.

The 2003 NSX belonged to a guy who is from New York and has a house here in Orlando. He happened to see the post of the get together and he and his wife stopped. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name but he said he would try to attend the Tech. Day at your shop. He was glad to hear of you guys. Yes, the other two were Jason and Warren.
 
So I take it the guy with the 03 X will be here for awhile? :biggrin: Or he is planning on driving back down? :eek:

Exactly!

I'm having a hard time remembering, but I think Bob was the name of the gentleman with the '03 (black). He keeps this car at his house here in Orlando from what he said. I think he either flew down or drove down in another car from NY. (sorry for taking so long to reply back, was busy!)
