I'm trying to hook up a DVD player with surround sound but can't get any video.
Audio is great but the Dish video signal keeps overriding the DVD video signal.

Anyone know of a website to help a frustrated individual as myself learn more about this?

Are you switching the TV video input through the TV or the surround sound receiver? Make sure that when you change from Dish to DVD, that both the audio and video signals are being switched.

Well that was kind of it.

Got me thinking enough to find out other ways to switch signals and just now found out I have to switch to S Video through the remote.

Problem fixed.
