T12 has a much more severe downhill grade, pit lane on right is further upstream than the vidoe shows and the video does not show a concrete barrier on the inside of that turn, which Road Atlanta has.
I think this was before the Panoz changes. It is definately RA, but there is no start finish bridge. I do not think this type of racing has been done in Atlanta for many years, but ICBveryW

they moved lots of dirt to put the current paddock in.
Road A has been the scene of several insane crashes when they were running GTP type cars.
Anyone recall the Nissans flipping over backwards cresting the hill on the back straight. Talk about carnage.
They made changes because of that but it was soon apparent the cars were just to fast.
I could be wrong, but I belive the cars in the early '90's had much more power and were much faster than the Daytona prototypes etc of today.
Lap times may not be much different now because of tires etc but I think some were over 1000HP

EDIT: If either driver was killed in this wreck, sorry to have posted this. I will remove my link if its found to have killed either one out of respect.
The crash happened during an IMSA race at Road Atlanta in 1995. Both drivers survived.
