Wow... I didn't think I had these files anymore, but I ran across version 1.0 of the NSX FAQ from early 1997. This plain-text document eventually evolved into the NSX Prime website of today. Here's an excerpt:

FAQ stands for "Frequently Asked Questions." The Acura NSX FAQ contains a list of the most commonly asked questions regarding the NSX. This document is by no means all-inclusive. It is intended to serve as a general guide to the NSX and pointer to other sources with more detailed information on specific aspects of the car and related topics.

Notes: Curtis refers to his monthly newsletter as his "bantam publication". It's not cheap - $69 per year, $99 for two years, for a six-page (three pages double-sided). I enjoy it, as it has lots of smidgeons of good information.

From: [email protected]
Greetings,
I've sent to those who signed up a list of 12 owners from all around the country, and yes, even around the world (Australia!), who've indicated their willingness to "host" (i.e., meet for a meal, a quick drive, etc.) another NSX enthusiast if they happen to be in town while traveling.
I've chosen to NOT post this to the mail list, out of consieration of those who've offered their hosting services. If you're interested in visiting and hosting other NSX owners in your/their travels, let me know (via private e-mail, and include your city/state and info about your car) and I'll add you to an updated list sometime later.
Regards,
Don Gallo

Acura US Customer Service: 1-800-TO-ACURA
3.3 Precision and ACE Acura Dealer Information
----------------------------------------------
Each year in the US, some 20 to 30 of the dealers that consistently achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction across the country are awarded the distinction of being recognized by Acura as the "Precision Team" dealers. If you're looking for great service, that would be a good place to start.
It should be noted that just because a dealer has the word "Precision" in their name doesn't necessarily mean that they're part of the real "Precision Team" of Acura dealers.
In Canada these dealers are called ACE DEALERS ("Acura Client Excellence") and are the top ten dealers in Canada (4 high volume, 3 medium volume and 3 low volume dealers). I can't help but mention that we are the top ACE dealer of the high-volume dealers. ( - Dave Orbront <
3.7 TCS Operation
-----------------
TCS is not affected when you upgrade wheel/tire sizes as long as you keep the same size ratio. This is because it looks at the ratio of the speeds of the front and rear (and left/right) wheels.
The TCS systems tolerance for the ratio is reported to be 5%. As long as you keep the ratio within 5% of stock TCS should work with any size wheels you can mount on the car. See section 4.4 for a list of wheel sizes that NSX owners have tried and the appropriate tire sizes to use with them.
4.1 OEM Tires and Tire Wear
---------------------------
1991-1993 Front 205/50ZR15 diameter 23.1 inches - 874 rev per mile
1991-1993 Rear 225/50ZR16 diameter 24.9 inches - 811 rev per mile
1994-1997 Front 215/45ZR16 diameter 23.6 inches - 854 rev per mile
1994-1997 Rear 245/40ZR17 diameter 24.7 inches - 816 rev per mile
1991-199x all came with Yokohama A-022H tires. These tires were developed for the NSX, They are corner-specific (meaning they cannot be rotated).
4.2
-----------
Pirelli P-Zero 225/45/16 Front 265/40/17 Rear on 8- & 9-inch wheels. Notes: The current set has 7,000 miles on them -- the rears are less than 1/2 gone the fronts about 1/3 gone (but wearing more on the inside). I'm running stock alignment for 1991, and those who know me can atest that I don't drive slowly.

4.3 Changing wheel sizes
------------------------
You can check diameter for any tire size at:
http://www.powerdog.com/tiresize.cgi
4.4 What Are "Tire Certificates"?
---------------------------------
5.4
---
Trunk struts on most Honda/Acura cars start to wear out and need replacement after 4-5 years. Many Acura dealers will "Goodwill" this repair, as it is a common failure and doesn't cost too much. See section 8.1 for more information about "Goodwill" repairs.
5.5 T-Top Squeaks
-----------------
Several T-Top owners have reported problems with the rubber seals around the edge of the removable roof panel squeaking, including:
Francis Gan <[email protected]>
Joseph <[email protected]>
6.2 ABS Pump Noise
------------------
From: [email protected]
If you hear your ABS pump cycling more than once in a while, get the system checked for leak down at the dealer. "book" says to replace the entire module of 4. Two of mine leaked causing the pump to cycle nearly every morning for 90 to 120 seconds before shutting off.
6.3 Clutch Shudder
------------------
Notes: After complaining about shudder my clutch was replaced(4,000 miles ago) and has been perfect.
- [email protected]
6.4 Rough Idle at Low RPM
-------------------------
Notes: My experience shows all NSXs have a VTEC rough spot around 1,500 RPM -- hot or cold. This is not a problem.
