Hints needed: Engine dies during hard braking

Weird problem: Last year on Hockenheim short track I drove with slicks. During hard braking (I usualy press the clutch pedal) the rev came down from 8000 to 0. No heating problem, no check engine light. O2-sensors seemed to be okay so I changed the sparks (after about 20 000 km track only). Next event at Anneau du Rhin (tight track in France) everything was okay.

Last week I drove 2 days at the new Hockenheim Grand Prix track and guess what: At the end of the high speed sections (up to 245 km/h) and before moreorless tight corners the engine died again during braking - not everytime but it seems that the chance that it goes down to 0 rpm is bigger the greater the negative g force and the longer the braking distance is. I admit I have Porsche brakes front and rear and with the slicks I may have more than 13 m/s2 deccelaration.

I encountered no other problem - temperature okay, no check engine light, no error codes, enough gas in the tank.

Anybody with similar problems or any hints by techies?

Thanks in advance!

I had this problem in a different type of car - at first it started happening when braking hard and later when using the power steering (might not be a problem for you).

Turned out to be an intermittent short in the ignition switch that only showed up during significant load on the electrical system.

Don't know if this helps at all and there are many here with much more knowledge then me so good luck.
