Is Random tech the only one or are there other options? I'm not worried about hp but I am interested if it gives some more volume

I had test pipes on for a few days but they're not for me. Strangely after my mechanic put my stock cats back my exhaust sounds different and not as loud

Comptech High Flows, if they're still available. I have/had them. I run Test Pipes now which I think are great.

With TP, in the SC case, some additional backpressure was removed so I am actually seeing a little bit more boost.

The advantage that I've heard with High Flows is that in some cases, people are passing emissions, which is way cool.

I haven't had a chance to dyno or anything, but I have the random tech cats from SOS and I'm happy. They're not only lighter than stock....but all it takes is one look at how small the 2.25" stock inlet looks next to the rest of your 2.5" exhaust to realize that you're getting rid of a significant bottleneck.

It has to help...how much, I'm not really sure.

Im in need of NA2 high flows which haven't been developed yet. Brian weren't you gonna work on those as well?

Hi Chado,

It's in the works. I want them to be done nicely. I should have them in the next few weeks. You will be the first to see them. Do u need them to be 95 to97 style? or 91-94? I can do a custom one just for you if you want.

Will they pass the Cal smog test?

Yes, I am looking for them to pass smog. Currently they pass smog on a lightly modified 95 integra gsr. However for OBDII vehicles we might find that it will be more difficult. I will have pictures up soon within the next few weeks.

Do high flow cats affect exhaust smell?
The test pipes were just stinky

Once the cats warm up, no. In fact, I don't think they're any more smelly than a stock cat....since these cars don't have pre-cats (at least my 91 doesn't).

+1 for the OBDII please. Are looking for your kit to be plug and play?

regards, Paul

Senninha,

The OBDII high flow cats might pass smog. I want to test them out before saying they will pass. I do know the OBDI hi flows will pass. Yes, I will include bolts gaskets and it will be plug and play direct replacements. Let me know if you are interested and ill put you on the list. Just PM me. I didn't want to hijack this thread but it seems like there is great interest. I was planning on doing this for a few local guys. But I don't mind supplying these for more guys on prime. Just so you guys know these will be done nicely in stainless steel and tig welded for that super clean look that we all expect for our cars!

With the high flows you shouldn't have any foul smell like the straight pipes.

You're not hijacking this thread since it is in the vendor's sections.

What would be the price for OBDII?

Do the high flow cats for 95-99 and 00-05 have different configuration? I know for exhaust it matters.

I have a pair of Comptech Hi Flow Cats which I intend to use once every two years for CA smog purpose only. The rest of the time it's test pipes!

Since these Random cats are what they call Hi-Flow, does mounting them actually give you an HP gains?
That is, provided you have already done the basic I/H/E-stuff on your car?

I installed test pipes along with my headers last week and I have to agree, test pipes are not for everyone. So I have "Random tech" cats on the way. Hopefully, I can post my results this weekend...

Production of our High Flow Cats are almost complete. I'll have some cores to show you guys tonight at the SCA meet if you guys are local. I should have everything done by next week and on the Dyno by the following week.

Dyno with stock, high flow and straight pipe comparison?
