I just instaslled a set of HID's on my NSX and they look great. This might be a stupid question but why aren't there two HID's per side?

Ed

You may have already noticed that HIDs take a while to warm up - usually your high beams are not on for very long so they are not practical.
On the NSX the low beams stay on anyway in addition to the "highs" when you switch. I suggest you just get some whiter 9005's to more closely match the colour of the HIDs (they probably look really yellow in comparison!)
I think you'll find that the combination of the LowBeam HIDs & Halogen high beams is plenty of illumination in even the darkest situations.

That's exactly what I did lst night. The stock bulbs were yellow and looked terible so i replced them with the HID look alikes fro $10. Looks much better.

Forgot to ask, on cars that come from the factory with HID, how do they handle the low beam / high beam?

Ed

They either have halogen high beams or what's called bi-xenon. The bi-xenons have an actuator the shifts the position of the emitted light thus producing a high beam.

Ed,...
Just curious, what kind of light bulb did you get to replace your high beam bulbs ??

Thanks .. Gus
