I have hids from SOS installed in my car for about a year now and love them. Tonight the pasenger side would not come on, and the bright lights were on only they were real dim. I hit the bright switch and the drivers side became brighter, and the passenger side turned off. So I unpluged the wire with the white cap on the passenger side and the drivers side worked fine.
I thought I might have a bad bulb on the hids, so I swaped the housing to the other side and it worked fine.
Could I have a bad balast?
Or a bad ground on that side?
I checked all the wires none are damaged and the conections are all good.
Anyone had this problem before? Please help thanks Brian

Ok I found the problem, the fuse kept blowing so I swaped the balast to the other side no luck its bad.
I got them a little over a year ago and the warranty is only one year.:(
With the hid ban I think I am in trouble.

Did you contact Chris at SOS? That's what I would do to see what he can do. Or maybe the manufacturer directly to replace the ballast.
Good Luck
Z

I contacted Chris and Seth today and they are doing there best to help. The people who make the hids are not shipping out anything until they decide a on what ever it is there going to do.
That includes parts warranty or not.

goodluck.

which kit do you have?

also when did this start happening? did you hit a big pothole or something that might have cause a blowout somewhere around the system?

Hi Brian --

The fuse problem is very odd. That may indicate a short rather than defective hardware. Give us a jingle tomorrow so we can run through your test. Do you have a multi-meter that we
do some verification with?

Cheers,
-- Chris
