HID......... INFO NEEDED

I was woundering if anyone could tell me some info about HID ballast..

Im wanting to find out if there any differance between a Philips ballast and a Hella ballast. I have been told by more than one person that these ballasts are the same in quality.

True or False?

a friend of mine said that he took his phillips ballasts apart and it was stamped Hella on the inside. So I'm guess that phillps kits use their own bulbs, but still utilize the hella ballasts...

I was told that the phillips bulbs fade with age, but haven't seen it myself.

if you were to chose from one of the two, I would definately go for the hella kit, they have been in the automotive light industry FOREVER!

the generic McCollouch kits are relatively cheap (i.e. not much more than the phillips/hella), and I love they way mine look and perform.

Yes, they're the same. Hella make ballast for Phillips.

They are the same.
Phillips buys from Hella and put a sticker on top. That's it.
