Long ago you posted a reply to a message about the ignition switch failure thing on the Technical Forum. Armed with your advice about not replacing the entire assembly I just saved about £250. The whole kit and caboodle fitted would have been £396, the wiring and labour came to £148!! The difference has paid for a set of rear tyres.

Thanks.

Yep, those of us in the greater Sacramento area (and hopefully the Bay Area) have known of Bruce's expertise and work ethics as an NSX certified technician, and have asked for him whenever we serviced all our cars ........ we are truly lucky to have Bruce around ....... he is the most conscientious service tech that I have met, will never sell you a service/repair that is not warranted, does the job right the first time, often will go the extra mile with no extra charge ...... and he always has time to chat with you over all the technical questions that you may have ........ and some of us slower folks have many questions ..... LOL!

FYI - Bruce used to be Niello Acura's top NSX technician before opening his own shop Pettitt's Automotive: www.pettittsauto.com ..... we are hoping that he will soon host a Performance page featuring the NSX with specials ..... hint hint

Yeah, Bruce goes the extra mile. I limped back from T-Hill with a broken clutch on a Saturday afternoon and left the car at his doorstep, not being sure if it would do any more engagements from a full stop. I left him a voice mail that it was there. He came in on Sunday to put it in the shop so it wouldn't sit outside any longer.

And then he patiently waded through all the pro's and con's with me of which clutch to get.

PS. The problem with my stock clutch (with 67K miles, 15 track events other spririted driving), was a broken spring retainer. Plates were in good shape. I went with the tried and true: CT Power Grip II. Pedal pressure is not a factor if you're a "driver" and not a "polisher". Very smooth, very positive, very quiet from the get-go.
