Here's the article in question, and the plotted depreciation is worse than what the OP stated....$22.5k in 2019. I WISH.
Here's the worst part of the article: NSXs were appreciating even in 2014. The author, though he penned a pretty decent comparison article, was clearly hiding under a rock at the time.
I agree with one of us posting there, or writing a letter to the editor, and asking said question.
