Most people have heard of Hetch Hetchy (San Francisco's drinking water) but not many could tell you where it is. Here’s an opportunity to find out. It’s the perfect run for all NSXer’s from Sacramento, Central Valley and the Bay Area. We’re getting together for a day drive to O’Shaughnessy Dam located in Yosemite (Park Entrance Fee $20 per car) with a stop over at the Moccasin Point Fish Hatchery. So if you weren’t lucky enough to participate with the 17 cars on the Hwy 25 run, here’s a cruise you definitely don’t want to miss out on.

No need to make a reservation just show up at the main start. We will leave at 9:00 AM sharp from:

Starbuck’s
1451 Hulsey Way
Manteca, CA

Off Hwy 99 take the East Yosemite Ave exit west. Turn left at Commerce Ave and then left on Hulsey Way. Starbucks in located on the back side of Jamba Juice.

Bring a lawn chair, picnic lunch and a camera. You are sure to have a good time. Bring a club radio if you have one.

In case of inclement weather, we will move the run to Saturday, May 10th. Check the Prime Forum for updates.

I've hiked it across the damn to Rancheria Falls, camped and got raided by bears, then hiked it back when I was........ in 5th grade.

Don't remember any part of the drive. Count me in.

Since you guys are stopping at Moccasin Hatchery below Priest grade on this run, I'd like to you guys to MAYBE consider making the run through coulterville, AWESOME tight twisty roads in the future. My stomping grounds 2 wheels and 4.... if anyone is interested.

The Priest/Coulterville Road is on the route, however, it's at the top of Old Priest's Grade. You've probably already figured it out, I always go for the most radical route. See, you should have gone on the second half of the Hwy 25 Run!

I was kicking myself in the @ss when I saw your pictures! I've always wanted to go that way! I thought you were just going to back track, that's why :(

Moccasin hatchery is at the bottom of priest, lol. I hope traffic is nice that day, Priest grade (not old priest) is so MUCH FUN! I used to ride my sportbike up that and go into corners so hot, and rip out so hot, I'd leave rubber on the ground from sliding into the corners and spinning my way out.

When you get past coulterville, were you planning on going down Bear Valley road through Hornitos?

Oh and I'll be in town by next weekend. I'd be there tomorrow but for some reason I decided to spend more time working with the kindergarten class I'm working as an assistant in, lol...... for free on my only day off.....fridays

yojack1, you guys were great at organizing the previous drive and i will definitely try to make it out to this one.

Ok peter, no more partying the night before the run! Don't want you slurring your words again!!!

Sounds like a long road trip. How far is this from S.F. B.A.? 3-4 hour trip one way? Don't know if my 15 yr old car will make it out there? I cross my fingers when I go on road trips and hope for the best.

Gabe, I think you should sell that red hunk of junk and get yourself a nice reliable 300ZX Twin Turbo, maybe a green one! Then you won't have to worry so much. Oh I forget, you just sold that 300ZX! Everyone keeps telling us they are Honda's and that they will run forever.

It's about 2.5 hours from Mentica to Yosemite taking the 120 but a scenic route would take about 3-4 hours ;-).

The newly scheduled May 4th NSXCA - Bay Area Chapter Meeting will not affect the May 3rd date of the Hetch Hetchy Cruise. The run was designed for a broad area of NSX owners (Sac.,Central Valley, Monterey and Bay Area).

Bay Area members can go to the meeting as planned and/or take advantage of the rare opportunity of a great run on that Saturday with the additional bonus of sharing the previous days events on Sunday.

We'll be there both days.

HA! Gabe, your X will do just fine! C'mon you sorta drove the car that had busted shocks, 50% tread life on the original OEM wheel from phoenix, AZ to San Jose, CA in one day!

Oh your car will be fine! Heck, I had to go from the central valley to meet up with you folks in hollister! lol

Then the drive before that, was central valley, to monterey, down the 1 to cambria, to the 41 and back towards home.

I'm sure your car will be fine lol. I do lots of drives on mine

Now, that was a 12 hour journey not a drive. Felt like I was doing LeMans that day. However, if I do get to go, I'll have my new Momo Steering wheel, and my new Audiogrom IPOD adapter. Yes, no more CD's.

*Don't think I'm going to make it. Have to attend b-day party in Vacaville.

Great big thank you goes out to Jack and Yolanda! You guys are incredible in all means of the word. Thank you so much for setting me up with the wheels. It'll help me make it through another year or two :)

Also Jack, you've got some AMAZING sculpting, fabricating, glassing, carbon fiber skills! Amazing work on your vehicles, blows me away you created such beautiful creations out of pure hobby. I wish I lived closer, you'd be welcome to pull the panels off my nsx :)

I hope to see you folks again on this run coming up. I'll have your $28 burger waiting at our next lunch stop, lol. This run is picnic lunch, so I guess it'll have to be a future one. Thanks again!
