Listed as a "clear Colorado" sale document (presumed title?). Airbags intact, as a right rear collision damaged unit. Mileage listed actual at 24,723. American Family Insurance Company running it through auction.
ACV (actual cash value, pre-damage) listed at $68,709. Estimated repair costs listed at $40,259.
Info repeated here as future intel for posterity. Interesting find and post JD.
From photos on IAA listing: Driver's seat trashed, esp. left seat bolster. Mixed wheels (l versus r). Interior filthy - see top of strg column/wheel. Election sign in r pass footwell. Rear fascia gone, no R rear taillight ass'y. This NSX was NOT adequately protected through the insurance adjustment/settlement/auction process.

What is that thing that looks like it is the size of an alternator on the right rear quarter and has a bunch of what appears to be piping or cabling attached to it? On my 1994 there is nothing there but a vent flap for the trunk. What in the world is that thing on this 2005?
It is an Air pump. Only on OBD2 cars.

Can someone explain how this was not a salvage title even after all that damage ? Has the panels just been removed making it seem like extensive damage occurred ?
I've come across this car available for sale in Toronto. Just registered today to inquire after lurking for over 5 years looking for and having the funds available for my own NSX.

I have no idea, the car doesn't look like it took a hit. According to autocheck report from January 2012 the car has clean history and and it was last registered and titled on 12/22/2011 in Denver, CO with 24,723 miles. I don't have any record of this car being exported to Canada.

It wasn't posted for sale but was owned my a garage owner. Parked at his shop and was asking $60K. Its still got only 26K miles.
A friend of mine knew I was looking and brought me the VIN today. I have yet to see the car or confront the owner about the damage.

it took a hit I remember this car was gonna buy it, even called the Insurance company and gave them a direct offer if they removed it from the Auction.
if someone in the Insurance company took the panels off to make it look worse than it is isnt that fraud so they can put the panels back on and buy it.

and for 24K miles the interior looks like someone swapped it for their 91 interior LOL or they unplugged the speedo cable to the miles and drove it for years LOL
