Help with replacing alternator

Just received my new polished alternator from SOS. I want to replace it
myself. Are there any tips that anyone can share with me?

It is straight forward, review the service manual.

Tips:

Make sure you disconnect the battery

The large bolt that the alternator pivots on goes through a collar in the alternator bracket. This collar slides outward and can really help get the alternator out. You can cock the alternator slightly to get the collar to move.

Check out 23-106 in the on line service manual and look where the alternator "through" bolt goes into the bracket.
