Help with NSX-T Comptech Brace

I've recently purchased the Comptech brace for my 97 - T. upon installing the brace I couldn't get the engine cover to close fully because it makes comtact with the brace and this results in not being able to close the glass hatch. Anyone know if the engine cover has to be removed in order to use the Comptech brace or I am just installing it wrong. If the cover has to removed this is a very poor design because now I have no place to put my T-Top. (Can't even put it in the trunk because I went a little overboard on my system.)

The Comptech brace for the T will not work with the OEM engine cover as you have found.
Comptech includes a different component to fit the top in and it's included with their supercharger kit for the "T".
I believe it used to be a bag type of device and when I talked to them last month I got the impression that they have a different new design more like the OEM. I can't say for sure having not seen it.
I have a Comptech brace hanging on my wall in my home office, right over my computer. Helps keep me from getting silly on E-Bay.
