Hello everyone. Can I PLEASE get input from AS MANY OF YOU AS POSSIBLE! Will a 18 x 8.0 front rim with a +36 offset coupled with a 225/35/18 tire fit WELL on my Acura NSX? Or would it "barely" or "kinda" fit? My car is dropped pretty low, so would I have to raise it? I would like to keep my car "slammed". Will I have fitment problems and/or rubbing issues involving my fender, inner tirewell, OR my brake calipers? I have 2001 Acura NSX Calipers and Brake Rotors. Also, is a 18 x 9.5 rear rim with +44 offset coupled with a 275/30/19 tire ok for the rear? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanx! Shawn

Hello Shawn,
I currently have 17x8" wheels with an offset of +35 on the fronts with a 215/40/17 tire. That tire is about .7" taller than stock. If you are planning on running a 225/35/18, I think it will be too big and will rub when you make turns because the tire diameter is too big.
If your car came with:
205/50/15, diameter is 23.07".
215/45/16, diameter is 23.61"
I have 215/40/17 with a diameter of 23.77". The 225/35/18 diameter is 24.20".
The optimum size tire could be:
235/30/18, diameter is 23.55" or
215/35/18, diameter is 23.92".
As for the rears, I went with
275/35/18, diameter 25.57".
My stock is 225/50/16, diameter 24.86".
If you run a 275/30/19, diameter is 25.50".
It is best to try and keep your tire size increase proportional.
I think the tire size will probably rub the inner fenders. The wheel sizes and offsets are perfect. As for clearing the brake calipers, it all depends upon the type of wheel design. It should clear though. Oh by the way, I am only lowered about 1" from stock. If you are slammed, you might have to raise the car back up a little so that the tires will clear the fenders when you hit big bumps. Hope this info helps out. Good luck!

Hi Shawn,

I use Technomagnesia wheels at the size of 18x8 and 18x10 with the same offset as you have.

I lowered my car with 1 inch. I don't have any problems. I do use a spacer (front) of about 8 mm because of my Brembo big brake set.

Tire size 225x35x18 front and 285x35x18 rear.

No problems.

If you use OEM calipers than you don't need to use spacers. The wheels do also fit on my standard NSX with OEM calipers. The spacers, I only use on my CTSC NSX with big brakes.
These spacers have a centering lip and are TUV (a German high stand safety certificate) proved.
I also have special lugs which are of another material than OEM and have appr. 10 mm more length.

BTW On the Avatar you can see the wheels

I run ADVAN Model 5s 18x8 45 offset front/18x10 45 offset rear...I have HKS coilovers adjusted pretty low it does not rub on the plastic liners, not even in hard cornering...It rubs a little when I crank the wheel all the way to flip a u-turn, thats it though. I love the way it looks with the 18 in the front...17s may be more practical for most people though.

Hope this might help
