Help with KW variant 3 install

I purchased a set of KW coilovers but I forgot that my NSX came with aftermarket coilovers that didn't require OEM top hats now I can't install my coilovers, is there any way around it?? What other pieces do I need other than the hats?? Does anybody have a set of hats laying around their garage??? I would really appreciate some help. Nico

The KW's should have come with the tops.
You don't use the OEM's tops on KW's.
Or are you taking the KW's off and going back to OEM ?

What coilovers are currently on your car? You might be able to re-use the pillowball mounts on the KWs. Otherwise, you should check the classifieds to see if any OEM hats are for sale. You also need some metal washers that are part of the OEM shocks. Otherwise, you can buy new ones (as well as the rubber bushings), something like this: http://www.autopartsway.ca/PartList...s_and_Struts/Shock_Mounting_Kit/pagenum1/tabS.

However, I do recommend using the OEM hats, as they are more comfortable for street use. If you can't find used hats, SOS does sell new ones, complete with all the other little bits.

Uhh, the KWs do NOT come with the top hats or with pillowball mounts. You either need to re-use the stock top hats, or buy aftermarket pillowball mounts.

Hi Nico,

I've been developing and testing top hats for the NSX for the past 2 years. My top mounts are CNC machined in USA from 6061 aluminum. I designed top mounts specifically for the NSX for use with the KW V3 shocks. They are MUCH lighter than the OEM steel top hats. I use them on my NSX with KW V3's.

I recently filed a patent on a unique feature that can be incorporated into these mounts and I haven't released them for sale yet. I also developed and have upgraded bushings, washers & steel tubes that work with these top mounts.

If you're interested in getting some custom top mounts for your NSX send me a PM. I have a few sets that were anodized in different colors as prototypes and I could work out a deal on them for you.
