so i was replacing my drivers side window fix it thingy everything went pretty smoothly. So why not do the other side??? (Since this makes me an Acura certified mechanic..right. hahaha) while i had everything out i sprayed electrical cleaner in the connectors because my passenger side was kinda slower than the drivers. (Read that on here somewhere as well as other DIY fixs for a slow window. before i buttoned up the drivers side i removed the passenger side panel to make sure i had all the wires and cable in their proper spaces on the drivers side. so i go to lower the passenger side window and it doesnt work now?? i tried with the passenger side control and the drivers side control. drivers side window works fine. so now what?? did i blow a passenger side fuse when i use the electrical cleaner??? (didnt unhook the battery cause i needed to power the window) i did flip the main switch on the drivers door panel back and forth to each side and still would not work. any ideas?? kinda freaking out. im turning in my acura certified mechanic badge. haha

If you are certain that you got everything reconnected properly on the passenger side, then it must be the driver's side power window switch, right? Did you examine the driver's side power window switch?

I know this may seem stupid, but many times I have found the toggle switch on the drivers door has been set to disable the passenger door switch;).

my buddy rob came over with an extra door panel switch we connected it and it would not work the passenger side window. this was a switch that we both knew worked. So maybe it wasnt my switch after all. Investigated a little further. We replaced the passenger side wiring harness then tried his drivers switch and bam it worked. so then we connected my drivers side switch, BAM it worked!!! So i guess both panels have to be connected to complete the circuit??? If this is true please let me know cause im ready to become an ASE acura ceritified NSX technician. hahahaha If not oh well the Air Force pays me well ill just have to stay in a little longer.

The good thing here is my windows work. Still slow but atleast they work. Will tackle the Adjustment thing at a later date, atleast the window fix it thingy is installed and everything is lubed up.

Thanks Larry for chiming in and trying to help trouble shoot. I appreciate it. I will let you know when i pass my ASE certification. lol

little off toopic but my driverside window is very slow, and seems like this happens to alot of nsx ive had a few friend that this has happen to

If the switch on the drivers door is disconnected it is the same as disabling the passenger door switch from the driver's door;).

Take a look at the schematic on page 23-262 in the 1991 service manual and you will see if the "Main" switch(drivers door) is off, the passenger door is disabled. Disconnecting the "Main" switch from the curcuit is the same.

I have a similar problem to the one which started this thread. Except for the fact I can roll the passenger window down from the driver side i cannot get it to go UP!! I have to lean over and use the switch on the passenger side which raises it with no problem whatsoever. I have my door apart and can't see any loose connections. Any ideas guys??

I am almost certain the problem is the driver's side power window switch itself (not the "On-Main" switch). Reportedly you can remove the switch and clean the contacts, or you can install a new switch. Since you already have the door apart, remove the switch from the door panel and examine it. You should be able to determine how to clean the contacts.

If you do a search on "window switch" in this forum you should find a host of discussion on this topic. Here is one thread that is very informative.
