Hi Everyone,

It's time to change my rear brakes. Does anyone have any recomendations as to which pads I should go with? It's mainly for street use, but I do drive aggressively sometimes. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

Call Andie at Cobalt Friction. He carries a number of brands and can advise you on the best ones for your specific needs. He's extremely knowledgeable, has great prices, AND he owns an NSX so he understands what the car needs, etc.

If you're only changing the rear pads and still have OEM front pads, I would just stay with OEM rear pads. Most aftermarket pads are an upgrade with more "bite" than the OEM pads. It's usually not good to have a stronger brake bias in your rear than your fronts.

I agree with Nimbus.

If you go with aftermarket, Carbotech Engineering is a sponsor of NSXPO 2003. If you call, let Matt or Larry know that we referred you, they are great at discussing and addressing your needs. In addition to retailing other brands, they also make proprietary brake pads. Their own Bobcat line of products is probably what you want. The Carbothech Panther Plus is great if you plan to track the car and don't mind some dust.
