I have a RM and it is throaty at idle but under throttle is not that much louder than stock. Before I put the RM unit on I started the car up with no muffler. It was not all that loud. It did not sound very "high performance". The catalytic converter provides quite a bit of muffling. The RM with DTM dual tips looks the coolest in my opinion but may be a bit expensive. (NSXCA member get a discount at RM which is worth it if you buy an exhaust) I would go with a muffler system that is light weight. The stock unit is very heavy. You may be able to get a custom muffler for cheaper than the Comptech or RM. Straight pipes for the cat may be the cheapest way to get the performance boost which is not much with muffler alone.------------------
