Ok Guys,
I just got my comptech strut tower bar in the mail today, assembled it, removed the stock tower bar, and attempted to put the comptech tower bar in its place. HOWEVER, now I can't get the 4 back holes on the main bar of the brace to line up with the mounting points! It seems like if i screw one side in just a hair, the other side is a mm off. Has anyone had this problem before? The holes seem in the CT strut line up exactly with the holes in the factory strut. Whats going on here???

TIA - JEff

I wish I could help you. However, I just had the same problem at Larry's shop this Wednesday when I was trying to get the bar on myself. One of the holes just didn't line up. Larry seemed to have no trouble so if the thread doesn't help, he may have some advice on how he did it. Just looked like he started to screw it in a bit sideways at first, but it straightened out after a few turns. hmmm...
He probably just has the touch after doing it enough times.

Well... It is absolutely impossible to screw the screw in at an angle because the hole through the strut is almost an inch, and a perfect fit for the bolt. I jacked up one side and that didnt help. I guess tomorrow ill go by some jack stands and try jacking both sides. Is it safe to drive with no strut bar in the mean time?

Problem solved by Larry G! He loosend the tool bolts on top of the strut towers, and was able to get the strut bar bolts threaded. Then he worked in each bolt.

Kudos to Larry for helping me like a true friend! No bullshit politics, just good times. Gotta love him!

Thanks for all the help fellas!
