I'm seriously about to cry ... :frown:
After I went through all the trouble in this thread (history on the prob)
http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114828

This morning when I went to start my car it beeped like normal before I turn it on and then everything suddenly went dead! When I put my key in nothing turns on! Like there is no battery in the car. I did a search and the results came up for the ignition thingy but when I replaced my main relay and spark and cleaned the coils and let the water dry it got rid of the hesitation so there are really no symptoms for the ignition thingy. Could it just fail like that?

Also, when I replaced the main relay I left the cover off that makes it look pretty and I could hear the main relay making a loud electrical current type noise. There was also clicking behind me. Is this normal? When it went dead this morning the relay made its usual noise followed by a loud current noise when it lost power.
HELP! :frown:

What they said. Especially check your ground cable AT BOTH ENDS as these seem to give more problems. Make sure the battery end has a good clean connection. If the clamp is stretched, cut it off and replace it with a heavier american-style clamp, which can be purchased at Auto Zone or just about any auto parts store. These just bolt on to the end of the cut cable and are more reliable than the Honda-style band clamps. Also check the other end to make sure it isn't loose and also has a good clean connection. Do the same to the positive cable, being absolutely sure to cover the positive terminal with the red rubber cover (or any other aftermarket cover that will fit) when done.

Totally worked! New battery cable contacts and a cleaning on the battery. All that's left to fix now is the horn. The fuse is good but the horn will work then not work and so on all the time.

Need to visit the horn ground connection. It does not have a good ground contact. BTW: Is the horn a aftermarket or OEM?

LoL, yeah this is a good indication of a bad cable or terminal

Be sure to get a plastic cover over those positive battery terminals...unless you don't mind the risk of a car fire! This is not a hypothetical...it has happened before on an NSX - the battery slid and the positive terminal made contact with metal...and started a fire under the hood.

I'm glad that you were able to correct your starting problem. :)

Now my ABS light just went on! I'm driving it and posting from my iphone. Is it safe to drive? I tried to push the TCS, I dunno why, but pushing it does nothing. Sorry for being so needy lately :(

Husband fixed it when I got home. Some how the fuse came loose and was sitting unplugged. Sorry for the frantic post :D

That is not the OEM cable clamp. Someone has replaced it at some point. And for the record, it's probably normal for the relay to click, after all, it is a relay.

But if the relay JUST clicks and nothing happens that's supposed to, that's a bad sign lol.

Yeah, mine was also replaced too but on the negative side with the same type of aftermarket clamp. Mine didn't even have any visible corrosion or any sort but it still was bad.

looks mint

go to acura and get the original cable, the terminal end that is on your car was originaly sold as a UNIVERSAL TEMPORY terminal end for the GM spring clamp of the late 60's , they where never designed as a permanent repair , did they work ? yes, but would corrode quickley, if you look at your terminal end the cable plate (holding the cable to the terminal end ) it is installed wrong ,it should be turned over to allow the indentations to dig into the cable, (these ends could accomodate a #6- #2 ) , in a pinch o.k. not for these cars !!!! ,
