I'm attending a "Flat-Out" day with a friend of mine and I need a helmet. I don't plan on doing too many of these, so I was wondering if anyone would be willing to let me borrow one. I need it by the 22nd of this month. The event is the 24th, but I'll be driving out the 23rd.

I'm located in APG, Maryland, but I can drive some to meet up if necessary.

If you can, let me know. I don't know how the sizes are labeled... but I wear a medium ACH (Advanced combat helmet) if that helps at all =P

I'll go try some on somewhere and see as well, when I get a chance.

thanks!

I own one, but I'll never let anyone borrow it.

FYI, most of those events have rentals you can get. If not, local speed shops have rentals as well. Have you looked into that?

not to be a dick, but how does the bolded help/contribute to this thread whatsoever?

Anyways, I've secured one.

thanks for the replies.

+1 for OG Racing

Agreed, OG Racing is fantastic! I'd highly recommend. A LOT of options there in stock so you can test fit. Medium in one brand will feel different that another, so it's important to ensure you get the best fit for safety.

Easy. Because once a helmet is dropped, it's technically no longer safe for use. If I let someone borrow my helmet for a couple days without me being around, there is no way I can judge whether or not something happened, and I'm not going to risk my safety on someone elses poor judgment. I think allowing anyone to borrow a helmet is a bad idea. Also because one is shown sitting on my car in my avatar, I wanted to deter the possibility of someone even asking later in this thread to avoid an explanation on why not, which is now a moot point since I just explained my view.

I was unaware of that and now I understand. I did end up getting one from a friend and he mentioned that to me.. to let him know if I dropped it or something. Which, of course makes sense..

Sorry. Wasn't trying to be confrontational.

carry on!
