I just have a question for those who did this operation for track use. I removed the heater/evaporator. I had to disconnect the in and out pipes of coolant. I decided to to connect these two pipes together to "close" the coolant circuit (see picture).

Is it ok to do like this ?

Thanks

No. The easy way is to plug both the feed and return lines.

By eliminating the valve for the heater core and looping them together as you did, you are allowing some of the coolant to completely bypass the radiator all together, all the time. You could have also retained the factory bleed point.

Now you just need to take all that crap out of the inside
