I think that pretty much says it all. Got it the car urned em on and drove to the store. Went to turn em off as i was rolling in and the wouldnt retract. Any ideas?

I checked the switch on the dash repeatedly, it doesnt appear to be the issue. I assumed it may be a fuse as well. Do you happen to know where the fuse box that holds this particular fuse is located? I dont have any manuels on this car...yet.
Thanks!

I had that same issue. I pulled the "always up" switch out and used a little dielectric grease on the connection and the problem seems solved. If the fuse is good, I'm betting it's got something to do with that switch.

Ok, ive found that when i push on the dash just in front of my left knee the lights will go down. I crawled up under the dash (not easy, im 6'3") and found a rats nest of aftermarket alarm wiring. Oh goodie. Now i get to pull all that crap out.

Oh boy, hope that doesn't lead to further trouble.:frown:

sounds like have a bad connector / connection between the harness and the switch. pull the plug, check the pins, clean and try again.

I had a similar problem in the past.

If it's not your alarm situation you can check this part out.
39793-SL0-J01 RELAY ASSY., POWER (5P) (BROWN) (MITSUBA)

However with me, my headlights would go down but come back up half way on it's own. Came to find out this relay was corroded internally. Good luck.

change the motor..... it might be it (easy fix).. good luck!

Alrighty. The wife drove the nsx to pizza hut and when she came back out it wouldnt start. Nice. I drove my big ol clumsy snapon truck down there and proceeded to crawl under the dash again and push and pull on the alarm harness. After a large amount of cussing and occasional dull stares not unlike that of a dairy cow it finally started. Shortly afterward my trunk release started working. Ill be spending my saturday afternoon ripping this god forsaken piece of shit alarm outta this thing.

Can anybody tell me why my pass side headlights are very dim?

"Don't put a crankshaft in it if it only needs an air filter"
In other words, check the simplest things first. They are usually the cheapest as well. First the fuse. If that's not it, the button for extenstion and retraction on the dash like "m3456y" said.
There is a relay that is next. Still the cheaper direction. Lastly, the motor. Honda is overly proud of any motor they use and it wouldn't suprise me if a new one is over $200 ea.
The service manual should have a trouble shooting guide.
Remember, something caused them NOT to go down so make sure when you find the problem it's the end cause of the failure.
Don't just swap the parts, fix the root problem so it won't repeat.

Cheers

My head lights also are up, and would not come down. I checked every fuse, and no dice. Can anyone tell me where the relay is for it because my NSX didn't come with an owners manual.

Your headlights dim because of a headlight fuse. This happened to me after I installed an HID kit.
