I'm looking for a header and cat back for my X so I was wondering what everyone is running, if any?

Does anyone have a DC Sports? If so can you give me some details about it, like sound, tone, and performance.

I have used the Comptech header and exhaust on a couple of cars and like them a lot. They are very well made. I have heard the HKS exhaust is actually very slightly better than the others in dyno tests, but it is big and hangs down a bit and I think it is ugly. Also, I believe the Comptech exhaust is considerably lighter. Plus, you have a couple of choices in tips.

If you really want to go all the way with performance, get the headers coated. A good insulating ceramic-type coating will retain more heat than bare steel and theoretically make the headers more efficient.

Hope this helps.

A couple questions for anyone who knows...

I know DC Sports used to make Comptech's headers, but do they still make them for CTech?

Were the old CTech headers the same design as the ones DC Sports sold under their own name?

Comptech will not warranty the headers if it has been coated or modified in any way. Just an FYI cause I asked them.

IIRC, one of the downsides with retaining heat is that they shorten the life of the header tubes.

Check out this GREAT writeup on various aftermarket headers --> http://www.nsxprime.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/002903.html
