I recently switched from pagid to hawk blue on my front brembos and after 3 wks of street driving ,I feel no significant degredation in street performance,ie. these grab enough cold, and squeal less than the pagids which where a street/track pad.fyi.

One of the downsides of using Hawk Blue's on stock rotors is that they are VERY tough on rotors. It was explained to me this was due to street driving didn't get the pads hot enough. I don't have personal experience, but I've seen many stock rotors chewed up with Hawk Blue. YMMV

They are also known for their "toxic" dusting

I'll keep you posted on how long these rotors last.Thanx for the warnings!

To all of you guys what do eaten rotors look like?Specificly is it warping them or just grinding them down to nothingness. My brembo rotors are pretty thick,I can't imagine them disolving away in 500 miles!

I've seen deep grooves cut into stock rotors in no time. I would imagine the Brembos might hold up longer, but what is the replacement cost on those baby's? IMO, the pad is the replacable part of the brake package, not the rotor.

If you are running stock calipers, feel around the backside of the Rotor's edge. You should feel a significant lip there that indicated how far down your rotors are worn.
On Brembo's the front side wears about as fast as the back (Since there are pistons on both sides) So you can just run your finger long the top of th rotor.

Mine wore almost 1.5mm - 2mm in about 500miles. Not very good considering the fact that they were 28mm to begin with.

Worn rotors (not cracked or damaged) look about the same as normal Rotors except that there is a larger lip on the edge. I'd check the thickness with a caliper and see if they are within spec.

Brembo wants 398.00 PER Rotor for replacing those babies so make sure they last!!!
Btw if you go to Wilwood, they can custom fabricate the same Rotors for 125.00 for both I think...
Maybe it was 125.00 a peice...
In any case, the Wilwood Rotors worked alot better for me than the Brembo's.
My Brembo Rotors cracked and warped and just about fell apart after 2 track events.

I have no experience with Hawk Blue's, but the Performance Friction 90's are a very sreetable pad that do not eat up rotors. They have race car performance on the track and work on the street if you can stand the dust. The PF90 dust does wash off very easy.
