hey folks,
i took my car in for an[other] alignment today. i am at stock ride height and we were able to get -1.1 camber up front. in the search of a few more 10ths of camber, i figured we could try adjusting the caster (the resulting movement of the control arm would surely affect static camber to some degree).
well, this is where we hit our snag.
we loosened the bolt, and tried turning the caster adjustment washer... but even after using a lot of force (to the point that we were afraid we were going to strip the allen wrench hole) we could barely budge the washer. so we figured that perhaps we needed to loosen the nut that locks the camber adjuster; the rationale being that since the caster adjuster tries to move the entire control arm, we needed to loosen the bolt to allow it to move. we were still not able to move the caster adjuster much.
is there anything else we need to do to allow the caster adjuster to move? any other bolt to loosen? any other animal to sacrifice?
thanks,
v
