So, my 94 brooklands green/onyx has HRE 547 wheels and they are polished. My 91 that I had, I ordered volk gt-c in diamond black. It was berlina black with black volks and a polished lip.

I contacted HRE a couple of days ago and they said that they would refinish my wheels if I so desired. What do you think a Brooklands green car would look like with Brooklands Green HRE 547s and a polished lip? I really liked my black car with the black wheels.

Have I lost my mind? Heres a pic of my car:

Id say it looks good as is, maybe a serious polish job!

Well, they just look too "bling" for my taste. They jump out at you instead of the car. I have also removed the side skirts and front lip spoiler since that picture. I have seen a lot of ferraris with the HRE wheels that have painted spokes and a polished lip.

Whatever floats your boat. Personally I would probably go a matte black and maybe the brooklands green lip, but thats just me...

i hate chrome on our nsx

well, its not exactly chrome....its polished aluminum, but it does look chrome. Yes I agree that I dont like the look of it on the NSX.

Please keep the inputs coming guys. Is there anyone that likes my idea

Maybe someone could photoshop it... probably the only way you'd really know if you think you'd like it.

If it's too much bling, try a matte clearcoat on the centers - I am really starting to like that look. Or you could do brooklands inserts with machined (diamond cut) face.

I would stray away from "trendy" since it looks, well, outdated later on.

i agree that highly polished/chrome wheels take attention away from the look of the entire package but i am not sure if i would color-match the centers- maybe some other shade of silver/gunmetal or even bronze if you like the contrast?

Leave em the way they are.......

Do what Ryan suggests with the brushed / clearcoated centers. I've seen his wheels and that finish is by far one of my favorites.
