Well I have owned my NSX for 4 months now and havent driven that much. It may sound weird, but mainly cause..i have been doin a few enhancements and also don't want to really rack up on the miles.

I have a 92 GPW NSX..(Pictured below), and was thinkin of selling it. Half of me says..go for it, and the other half of me says " WTH ARE YOU THINKING!!"

My bro-in-law purchased a brand new GPW S2000 (2006), and I got him a great deal on it. We went out driving in it last night..and it really made me miss my old S2000 I had in 2004. I think the new car smell had me a bit deceived, as well as the careless driving you can do with a brand new multi produced car.

Anyhow, I know in life..we all dont realize good things..til there gone. I wanted to get some feedback as to any of you that have got rid of there NSX..and thought it was biggest regret of their life.

Basically what I am saying is..Make me see a clear picture here..and give me some advice or opinions on what you would do.

Thanks

You haven't lost it. You just need to drive your NSX more. I'm sure if you were to drive your car, your mantra would be, "My other car is irrelevant!"

At least for me when I'm behind the wheel of the NSX I don't think of any other cars. :)

Just for reference:
Sold NSX after 5+ years
Got a E46 and sold it after 3months
Got an S2k and sold it after 11months
Bought another NSX and am now happy.

I lost my NSX at the end of September.

I have an E46 M3 to tide me over until the next one.

It is not the same. I miss my NSX.

I am surprised the S2000 has you questioning your NSX, as I have driven many S2000s and none of them ever made me even think about getting rid of the NSX.

You're in SoCal. Maybe you just need a Targa?

Nah, I just think..because my NSX is at the bodyshop right now (gettin the top color matched) and I havent driven it..that I get these feelings.

When I do drive it, it is hands down the FUNNEST car I have ever driven. Also the Ferrari looks and compliments I get from people is PRICELESS

Sorry guys, I just needed to vent...but I dont think ill get rid of my NSX er

So, let me get this straight. You buy an NSX four months ago, but you don't drive it because you don't want to put miles on it. But at the same time you are doing "enhancements" to it to make it, what, more driveable? Yet you complain that you miss your S2000.

Then go get yourself a car that you sill drive. I hear Saturns are nice.

No..its not that. I consider myself an enthusiast of the car, the fun in cars for me is building them..(as crazy as this may sound). I do own also own 2 Integra Type R's, One a RHD from Japan, One a USDM 2000 model. Also a 2000 Civic hatchback with a K20A-R motor and for the wifey a 2005 Nissan Armada Limited. Last but not least a 2000 Civic Si for daily driving.

I bought the NSX, cause it was dream car since they were released in 1991. It was a debate to get another sports car, between a used NSX or a brand new S2000. I chose the NSX, however are a little more respectful when driving it..i.e not putting a load of miles if I dont have to, beatin on it etc

Anyhow, I know this post does make me sound crazy. I just wanted to see if anyone has the same mixed feelings that I have..

Im keepin the NSX, and it only took a few posts from you and me pickin up the car at lunchtime from my bodyshop to say to myself..

" WTH was I thinking!! "

However, I think I might sell the 00 Si and 2000 Ek/K20 Project and pick up an S2000 as a A to B car.. and keep the NSX as a weekend warrior/garage queen

Thanks again guys..

I have a friend who sold his NSX with 135K miles on it. Mine has 128K and for awhile was a daily driver, rain or shine. While I don't condone beating on the car either, I do believe that cars were meant to be driven, not worshiped. I aslo, on the other hand, see your point about building it just to your liking and keeping it in good shape.
Sorry for the previous sarcastic post, but please, drive your car. Mr. Honda would want you to.

every winter I think "hmmm I wonder if I should sell it" when I know it's just going to sit in storage for several months. But then come Spring, I wonder what the hell I was ever thinking.

Keep it.

What did you buy the car for? A piece of jewelry or a daily driver or...? I know that if I sold my car I'd regret it because there are no cars under $100K that I desire more.
