My hatch light comes on in the dash while driving. This has happened intermittently four times now. I have to open the hatch and close it again to cancel the light on the dash. Is this probably a faulty sensor?

I've had that happen to me a couple times. I solved it by slightly bending the little metal piece that touches the "button" or sensor or switch.(lift open the hatch and you'll see it near the latch...looks like a thin piece of aluminum)
What happens, is that over time, the glass hatch bends the metal piece up. All you gotta do is slightly bend it down. Doesn't take too much force, nor that much movement. I bent mine up about 1/2 an inch or less.
