I bought one, from somebody on this board (you, maybe?), but have not installed it. Probably will not anytime soon, as it is really low on my list of stuff to try. Sorry.

I have it on my car. It's one of those mods that you throw in when you are doing other more major works.

Excuse me for asking a silly question but... what's the point of this mod? Since this doesn't improve maximum cooling capability, it can only govern engine coolant temperature under normal operating conditions. I assume it must be for more power somehow though I can't see how combustion conditions would change, just cylinder wall temperatures a very slight amount.

What's the downside to running the engine coolant at a lower temperature under normal operating conditions? Honda could have set the OEM thermostat setpoint to whatever they wanted, why would one think it is set too high?
