Those using a harness bar, which is the better choice ?
The Dali for 350.00 or the SOS for 450.00 ?
Your views on them would be appreciated.
Need to put one in my car in the next month sometime, have some track time coming up in April.
Thanks.
Jim

i HAVE THE COMPTECH HARNESS BAR W/ A 6PT HARNESS. iT WORKS VERY WELL. i HAVEN'T SEEN EITHER ONE THAT YOU MENTIONED ABOVE.

I was looking for one a month ago and they were not available at Dali then. MJ didn't know when they would be in stock FYI.

I don't know about the fitment of the SOS one, but I am not very happy with the overall fitment of the Dali one. You really have to muscle it in place and it causes the seat belts to rub and bind on retract.

Mugen, makes a great bar. It has the hoops behind the headrest of the seats which looks nice as well. The bar retails for $850 little pricey but its mugen ( high quality) and not to many people have them.

Thanks guys, sounds like SoS's for 450.00, although also very pricey for what it actually is might be the best deal.

Amazing, 50.00 worth of metal can cost so much....wish I had such a captive crowd in my business.

I had both,

I used Dali Harness bar for my 1st NSX,
and now I have the SOS Harness bar for my 2nd NSX, which came with the car.

Honestly, both harness bars are of great workmanship and quality. Can't go wrong with both of them.
And if price is the issue, I guess Dali would be your #1 choice.

I have the SOS bar. The fitting and build quaility is excellent. However you do lose a some seating room since the bar is tilted approx. 2 inches forward. At the track I move the seat forward and it works great. I am 5' 11'' and I think anybody taller would have a difficult time driving the car as a daily driver if you like your legs to be stretched out.

Cost is not really an issue with me when it comes to safety, just trying to figure out if one is better than the other and worth the extra money for the SOS bar.
Thanks for the help...

I have a Dali bar with Schroth 4 points that is going to be for sale soon . . .

I swapped it for a Mugen bar with Simpson 5 points. BTW, I believe the Mugen bar is much more expensive than $850. The last I heard was near $2000.

Sounds like you should build some yourself! Go for it!
