Harness Bar Opinions?

I'm now in the market for a harness bar for my NSX. I'm really looking for something that will be easy to install, and not something that will make permanent changes to the car. I'll probably be using the harnesses in Auto-X and other track events once or twice a month, and I'm looking to use the stock seatbelts all other times. So, I am also wanting something that doesn't impede the use of the stock belts too much.

Right now, I'm looking at the bars on the Dali site. Can anybody give me feedback on the Dali 3.1a bar? Does it get in the way of the stock seatbelts that much?

How about the 3.1b? How easy is it to install?

Anybody have experience with other bars, such as the Dali Cro-Magnon and any other brands?

Also, does anybody have any for sale? :)

Thanks in advance for any input!

Chuck

Hey Chuck

I'm not sure which Dali bar is in my car - but the belts I sold you ( and just shipped ) came out of this with the bar, and it was a very good arrangement. Stock belts worked fine etc.

As soon as I find out which one it is ( was - I've sold the car ), I'll let you know by e-mail.

Regards

Harness bar

Chuck,
I have the Dali Harness 3.1b with the interior upholstery piece that already has the hole. The harness bar is very easy to assemble. I think I did it in about 45 min. the only difference in the 3.1a is that it does not require a hole to be made in your b pillar upholstery. I highly recommend these bars they are great and I also have a camcorder holder in the center of the bar to take videos at the track. hope this helps. By the way the stock belts are not affected.

Hi Chuck,

I just installed a 31b bar this weekend, not too bad. A little bit of a pain when you have to line up the side plastic garnish parts, bolts, and the bar, but overall a few hours.

I purchased new side plastic garnish parts and drilled them and kept my stock originals, so I can revert back if I want to.

It does not effect the use of the stock belts in anyway. Actually my harnesses are hardly noticable once tucked on the side and behind the seat.

If you have any questions let me know.

Chris,

I must say that is a very nice product.
Does it require any drilling to existing panel?

And as I also concurred and posted to Chris privately, it also allows for the OEM Map Bag and Pouch to fit .......... ! Another marketing plus ...... ;)

Nice indeed.
