I found a worthy successor to my last car, a 96-T from Sacramento. Has 96,000 miles and looks great in person! I flew to Oakland three days ago and drove her after the inspection and I must say I really like this one as well as i did my first NSX. It comes with a Stance adjustable suspension, recent clutch and timing belt, Advan 17" X 18" staggered, and a few other tweaks (cosmetic and otherwise). The two brothers who owned the car were very helpful and made the buying process much easier. The car is now being shipped in an enclosed carrier to Seattle where I intend to have it out by next Thursday and into Canada. I'm attaching a few pics with more to follow once it gets here to Victoria. Cheers gang and thanks for the kind words, after all the research and hours put into this search I can say it was well worth it!
Regards,
Aaron

wow talk about dedication and love of a particular car:cool: Congratulations on your replacement car....and actualy using your insurance money to replace your car.

Yes, the moment i got back from the crash i was on the computer looking for another car. i don't like to waste time. a good friend suggested i get on the internet and start shopping, to get my mind off the accident and get myself thinking in a positive way and setting my goal on acquiring another NSX.

Granted my car which was totaled was just a car... as pointed out by most who replied to my thread. however it took me years of dedicating myself to the goal of owning an NSX. Obtaining the car was a realization of that dream and as such was special to me, and we all know that guys and their vehicles do not part ways easily.

Insurance had me paid out about two weeks after the accident and i did have to put more of my own money into buying this one but it was well worth the extra $2000 if you ask me. my old car needed a new timing belt/water pump and the transmission was going to need a rebuild in a year or two. so all in all i got a much better car for less than it was going to cost me to bring mine up to spec.

My only wish is that this car lasts until I decide to sell it, and hopefully fulfill someone else's dream of owning such a timeless piece of automotive history. From there my next move will be into a 2002+ NSX. Dreams keep us motivated, and for me I see that as good thing which should be embraced.

could you write a little about the process and costs involved in importing your new vehicule....nothing in canada to buy....i;m on east coast(montreal)and tried a couple of local cars but all had issues salvage and whitewashed titles so i;ll be going east coast u.s

Lol, i've always wondered if black is a colour or not, i've heard both sides of the argument. I know if I ordered this car from a dealer they would list black as a colour i suppose. It is great to see it in person, for some reason pictures never seem to do justice to some cars. I guess i'll be washing it more than the red one I previously owned due to the dust that builds up on the rear bumper :frown:

She is a beauty. I wondered what happened...I recall seeing your post in 'NSX for sale' and meant to ask that was going. Red here in Vancouver sold his. Maybe I'll to see you this year in Kelowna, at Terry's?
