Happy 40th to The Don featuring Birthday Bowling Bash Photos

In order to celebrate The Don hitting 40, we took the birthday boy out for a night of bowling, pizza and cake. It was a great time for everyone until we left and went out to the parking lot to find that some scum punched a hole in The Don's door trying to rip out the lock. Not the way to end a birthday party but we hope The Don's day was not completely ruined by this. Here are a few shots for now including damage to his door.

A great time was had by all, Carla did a great job with help from her co-conspirators (Bob and Alan), it's always nice to celebrate happy occasions with good friends, and not that it's any consolation, but there's always somebody that wants to ruin a great party, so Don, we don't know who it was that rained on your parade, but he'll get his just deserts (not a piece of your cake though). Those are some great candids by our photographer, and the one of the Don with the blindfold on was an instant "classic"!!
 
Thanks to all who came and those who wanted to but couldn't. It was a wonderfull surprise to see how many friends would (a) drive down to celebrate my birthday and (b) go bowling knowing that there would be so many photgraphers present.

Don't worry the end of the evening didn't spoil the event. I guess this will be my present to Joe for his 55th.

Keep practicing Dr. Bling, maybe you'll beat me next year. Congrats to LarryG for beating me in the 1st game. Do you still want to collect on the wager? Car has an extra hole in it now. :frown:

I love my signed photo of me and my car at Sebring. Carla and I stopped at work on the way home and it is now hanging in my office in a prime location (get it; Prime....)

Carla out did herself yesterday with her co-conspiritors, Alan and Bob.

Best B'day I've ever had. How come Earl Anthony didn't autograph my cake? Still have Danny Sullivan's sig in my freezer. :eek:

Finally, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the lovely Sylvia and Roberta - my birthday princesses.
 
Another worthy event we missed,but nice to see these great pics.Everyone looks marvalous!Blinfolded bowling,,, hmmmmmm.Make sure you all check your feet ,,for rental shoe toe rot:wink: :tongue:
 
It was GREAT seeing everyone for our last pre-NSXPO event !

Thanks to those who attended :smile: and for those who could not make it you missed a fun evening despite the break in attempt. Don was a real trooper having at least enjoyed the bowling, and Joe will of course be happy to see him again :rolleyes: for yet another patch and paint job :cool:

Thanks again to Carla for adding Sylvia and Roberta to the sweet ending and for the embarrasing party hats :eek: and as usual to Bob for the excellent photojournalism :smile:

5 minutes from my house, and I couldnt make it. :frown: Looks like everyone had a good time. What happened to the car? Looks like an attempted theft:mad:
 
Yup. Attempt only. Too bad they weren't kind enough to break the glass instead.

This will be the last time I have a 40th birthday party.

I lived a little bit farther up RT 1 and my M3 was broken into and stolen about 5 times:frown:
